I have been qualified as an Environmental Health Officer for twenty five years. After training in Ireland I have spent my working career in England. For the first ten years of my career I was employed in Local Government specialising in HMOs for a number of local authorities, culminating in my role as Team Manager for a multi-disciplinary HMO team at Oxford City Council.
I left Local Government in 1995 and spent three years working with a private sector housing company before setting up my own consultancy specialising in training, expert witness and advice for Local Government, Housing Associations, landlords and tenants. Glazebrook Associates was incorporated in 2002 and the Limited Company is continuing with consultancy to a range of clients and working in a variety of subject areas associated with housing, including, amongst others, private sector leasing projects and care provision.
I am a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner and an accredited trainer with Warwick Law School for HHSRS. I have been the Treasurer of the London Housing Forum, formerly the London Disrepair Forum, since its inception in 2001 and I have also been Treasurer of the National HMO Network since its inception in 1989.
