Conferences

National HMO Network > Conferences

The Network holds a conference each year at venues around the country.

Our last conference was held online in 2022

We are working on our next conference.

The conferences have been hosted by local authorities, other members of the Network or at various suitable venues around the country. If you’re interested in assisting or running an event please contact us.

We have an online booking system and can issue CPD certificates for those who require them.

Conferences provide excellent opportunities for members to meet, share concerns, good practice and discuss new ways of approaching problems. We try and cover a range of issues, predominantly topical for each conference.  Previously subject areas have included HHSRS, housing and fire safety officers working together, student accommodation, tenancy deposit schemes, landlord accreditation, gas safety and  new legislation updates.

We’re always looking for new and interesting topics and speakers for our conferences so if you have any suggestions or useful contacts please let us know.

Format of the conferences vary from main presentations, workshops, Q&A sessions and expert panels. Breaks are organised throughout the day so that delegates have an opportunity to discuss issues and ask questions.

A recurring theme in the feedback we get from delegates is that they find the networking opportunities to be highly beneficial – making contacts with other organisations and individuals that they can compare notes with in the future.

Information, including presentations, from previous conferences is also displayed on our website.

We are always looking out for future conference hosts. We have a conference manual for host organisations and the Steering Group is available to assist throughout the whole planning process as well as on the conference day.

If you are interested in hosting a future conference please contact Secretary@nationalhmonetwork.com.
