The Network holds a conference each year at venues around the country.
Our last conference was held in October 2016 in Sheffield . You can read more about it here.
The conferences are hosted by local authorities or other members of the Network at venues around the country with the host dealing with all delegate bookings direct.
Conferences provide excellent opportunities for members to meet, share concerns, good practice and discuss new ways of approaching problems. We try and cover a range of issues which have previously included HHSRS, housing and fire safety officers working together, student accommodation, tenancy deposit schemes, landlord accreditation, gas safety and new legislation.
Speakers give presentations in plenary sessions and smaller workshop groups throughout the day so that delegates have an opportunity to discuss issues and ask questions.
A recurring theme in the feedback we get from delegates is that they find the networking opportunities to be really beneficial – making contacts in other organisations that they can compare notes with in the future.
Information, including presentations, from previous conferences is also displayed on our website for 12 months.
We are always looking out for future conference hosts. We have a conference manual for host organisations and the Steering Group gives as much help and advice as possible throughout the whole planning process.
